Keeping the temp.

I just got my very first chameleon today, and I want to make sure she is going to be comfortable. I'm using a 2X2X4' reptibreeze cage with the mesh screen, but I don't know if my heat lamps are warming it up enough for her. She is a veiled chameleon.

Do you have a reliable thermometer? Have you measured the temp under the light (at the nearest branch or vine) and also elsewhere in the cage?
How old, or rather, how big is your lizard?
Can you cut n paste your answers to these questions please? This will allow us to put your mind at ease that your lizard is ok. :)
