Just wondering if his coloring is okay

I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section, I didn't post in Health Clinic as I don't find it to be overly serious. I'm just wondering if my cham is looking a little too dark?

I did just get him last Saturday from a girl who owned him for awhile. He look like he's shedding and he's been taking hand fed worms from me ( and no one else!:p) But it was quite a stressful day for me and him. He seemed like he was finally going to more blue and gold but then my parents came by this morning to see him and they REALLY stressed him out. Needless to say they acted like overly excited children around a new pet. And he found it very stressful when I was cleaning his terrarium. I had him out with me for a bit today and he still ate quite a lot of worms out of my hands! I'm just wondering if he still seems a bit stressed?

Sorry for a long post! My anxiety is just getting the best of me:(

He looks fine, I think the black might think he is a little stressed but that is okay for the first week. keep on feeding him a bunch because he looks a little skinny, Are you doing supplements?
 
I had a feeling he was still just a bit stressed! I'm not too sure. I think he was just being a bit defensive cause otherwise he usually lets it all hang out lol I don't think he appreciated the camera on him:p and as far as I'm aware I am lol I'm feeding the crickets Flukers Calcium? Or I'm not sure if that's gutloading. The previous owner told me he likes superworms, waxworms and hornworms and he's at least taste tested everyone one from my hand!:)
 
you need calcium withOUT d3 everyday, calcium WITH d3 weekly and reptivite weekly. Also mist a few times a day for a few minutes. Can you fill out this out so we know the general care you are giving it? --->

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male, Veiled and I just got him last Saturday. So it's not been long.
Handling - I try to get him out of his cage once a day at least.
Feeding - So far it's been mostly crickets fed with Calcium. But I throw in superworms (I was told it's his favorite treat) and I was told to feed him a mix with hornworms as well as waxworms.
Supplements -Flukers High Calcium Cricket diet. I fed him some without it yesterday but today and tomorrow, They have the Flukers in the little tote for holding them.
Watering - Cham has a dripper (The Little Dripper?) and I mist his terrarium about 4 times a day. Two big mists and two smaller quick ones. But I haven't seen him drink it.
Fecal Description - I'm going to say he has not been tested as his previous owner didn't let me know on that. but it's been healthy. Brown poop with white (urniate?)
History -He used to belong to some guy who traded him for some geckos and the previous owner I paid for him was looking for someone to take him as she's moving far and didn't wanna stress him out. That's all I really got besides being told he's quirky, friendly, enjoys eating veggies and being hand fed.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass for now until I get him a new one next month. Honestly I have NO idea what the dimensions are. I know it's not big enough and I'm completely drained of money at the moment. So come next month I'm immediately buying one the required size.
Lighting - I honestly don't know the brands or watts I was given:( I have the one basking light and UVB light on him for about 12hr a day.
Temperature - I have two thermometers to measure. the bottom is 27C and basking is 35C . I haven't been able to check overnight as I don't want to wake him while he's asleep.
Humidity - I do not have a way of measuring but doing misting and using a dripper.
Plants - No live plants right now. Lots of branches for him to use with artificial vines hanging off them and some fake flowers.
Placement - I put it on top of my drawer in the bedroom. Very quiet area, No high traffic, Pretty much totally undisturbed until I go in there to go to bed.
Location - Ontario

Current Problem -Just concerned about the black cause his previous owner kept saying it means about stress and whatnot but we did have a very stressful day.

I hope that helps at all, I bought him from a woman who breeds a ton of geckos with a temporary terrarium for now(It's not so small to where he can't climb. He has different levels for branches in there, but it does need to be bigger) I'm also on a very tight budget and literally spent all my money trying to get him set up:p Next month I will be upgrading things for my cham!:)
 
Haha alright:P Before I found here I read another care sheet that said two for 2 minutes a day but I wanted to make sure he's well hydrated. I will mist less xP
 
You'll want a different gut load for your crickets. Either you can make your own, like a lot of people do, I am one of those people, or you can buy a really good gutload (which fluker's isn't really) such as cricket crack or bug buffet or repashy.

Wax worms I would feed sparingly, as they are pretty much pure fat. I would feed them at most once a month and only like one or two.

Superworms are ok on occasion, and hornworms are awesome. Crickets and roaches are the main parts of my diet, with hornworms and silkworms mixed in. I have three different species of roaches I feed. I plan on catching more grasshoppers this summer and getting my colony of those started up again.

Don't get an all glass aquarium/terrarium for your next enclosure. Get screen or mostly screen.

For a uvb bulb, which you might want to replace the one you have if you don't know how old it is, they can only be used for around 6-9 months before they don't put out enough uvb. The kind you want is a linear strip bulb, you want a 5.0 reptisun for the easiest to get a hold of... though I'm not sure if they are the same brand and measurements in Ontario. Canada and the US are slightly different XD

Basking area should only be around 32 C at most. Just raise the bulb a little and you should be fine.

Otherwise from what I can tell he's doing great, black colors are pretty normal in the first week or so. Chams don't like change AT ALL... I mean I change the plant arrangement in my panther boy, Ryker's cage once every other week when I do a heavy cleaning. I figure it'll give him something different to do. Takes him two days to get used to the whole set up and settle down. And that tends to be more relaxed for a chameleon XD fussy little things <3

I don't think we have any of those gutloading brands around here o_O The closest reptile store to me might (last time I checked they didnt have a lot , I think they were out of a lot of stock and it's pretty small) But otherwise I'm mostly relying on that nearby reptile store and Petsmart >_> ) Well Pascal might not be happy I changed his cage around from the original arrangement as well in that case xP Thanks for the help though everyone! Really helpful! I will make sure to pick up Pascal some more items asap!:)

I think this depends. I do quite a few because I live in upstate NY and we have practically no humidity in the air, it is a lot harder to keep the humid levels up. I have to spray 2-3 2 minute ones and 2-3 20-30 second ones for my Jackson and that is with a humidifier. My veiled needs 2 2-3 minute ones and 1 45 second spray with no humidifier.
 
Drago I have like five mistings a day that go off for four minutes every 2.5 hours. I think twice a day is not enough, and neither is three times a day four 20 seconds, but hey, if your chams are healthy, who am I to judge? :P
