Thank you!! It’s an African Violet. I looked it up on a list a couple of years ago and it was noted as safe. She loves them and we haven’t had any issues

They are so beautiful! It’s nice because these little plants are relatively easy to find where I am so when she has eaten most of her foliage and her cage is looking but too bare, I know I will probably be able to find one of these for her

Yes! They are lovely
So they are not considered Veiled safe.... The only flowering plant that is considered veiled safe are hibiscus. There are many plants that are not considered Veiled safe... They may not produce an immediate reaction but no one knows about long term effects. The one thing that is good is that african violets are not known to cause any harm to cats or dogs that may eat them. So it is more of a use it at your own risk plant along with the many others that are put into veiled enclosures without being considered Veiled safe. Veiled safe plants have been used repeatedly for many years with veileds without showing any issues long term. So basically it is trial and error and will this plant or that one kill a cham or cause organ damage etc.

Thanks, Beman! All Cham plant lists are not created equal.... I trust you and am happy to stick with tried and true pothos and other things... Is there a list on the internet that you would hold the most reputable? Thanks!

The only one I trust is out of the chameleon academy site. They specify the veiled tested plants. If you were using the FLchams "safe" plant list it is actually a dog/cat list.
