I was wondering if anyone else takes their chameleons outside in this scorching heat? I try to take mine outside every day for a while, but since it has been getting so hot I leave them out for less than an hour outside or else they get too hot. Where I live it is always above the 100s in the summer time.

Is place there area in 90% shade with a small area I. The sun they can venture to... But I wouldn't put em in straight in sun that's 100 degrees for any more than minutes

Im in Texas so its pretty bad here BUT when it is only 100 I take him out, but I cover half the cage i shade. Then I fashion 2 drippers with cold ish water and even then I still have to mist the cage every 15-20 minutes. He only goes out in the morning till like noon. :)

Yeah I live in Texas too, but it is always over 100. I hang their cage under a tree branch and half the time it's in shade and a little bit of sunlight hits them. For some reason they still get dehydrated though, I usually spray the cage and them after an hour but it seems like it doesn't help. I take my chams out around 1 - 3, but they are Oustalets so they like the hot heat, it still makes them too hot though. I guess I'll just put a dripper outside for them.
