Had my baby Isabella outside today on her stick fort I constructed. Can pretty much say that her hour and half of basking said "thank you, I'm living the high life" so happy lol well I was until I went inside real quick to get my iPad to take pictures and she "escopeed" lol took me only a minute to find her 3 feet away wondering towards a bush thinking she was a ninja lol chameleons are the best :D

Share your fun stories I'm sure everyone would love to hear it

Nice! I still have yet to show my guy to the outside world... lol. Pretty crappy weather. Oh I have plenty of stories... I'll post in separate replies ;)

Food Stories...

This was the first week we had Yoshi. Second time we fed him at all, trying to get these enormous crickets from escaping and into a supplement bag. Well after an hour and a half of feeding crickets, we decided to give him a few roaches. The first one (adult male) we got in fine. Yoshi struck at it, but on the wrong side... when it got to his face it crawled down his back and onto the cage floor  Now the second roach was a nymph. Now nymphs are very juicy. He got the nymph in just fine... except he squirted blood all over my face  He's done that on my arm recently, too. ROFLMAO

So just recently I was feeding a superworm as a treat to Yoshi. But he got it by the butt and it reached up and latched onto his nose!! Took him a good 10 seconds to get it off but I was so freaked out... Good thing he was fine. There's my food stories... more to come ;)

Oh you should, at first I had Isabella on my arm and let her bask around my hand but once I set up some tree sticks(soon to get another ficus) she was off to the races just basking away lol almost ate a bee though that kinda scared me lmao

Other Stories...

Just about a week ago, I got back from 4 days of vacation to see my Yoshi. He came down from his perch to see me. He was shedding, and a large piece was hanging from the tip of his tail. It moved around and I guess he saw it as food... He bent over in an awkward position and ate it right off his tail!! I was too slow to get pics but what a hilarious moment!! ROFL

I need an outside area for him... Ideas? Lol but my arm gets tired after 10 minutes of holding him up and he is quite stubborn... he won't get off and it takes him FOREVER to decide if he wants to fully get on me (he wraps his tail around a branch in his cage and I'm sitting there holding weight). And then he decides "Nah, another time..." and scoots backwards down my hand leaving all theses scratches!! That little brat... I love the heck out of him :D:D:D

Lol that's funny Isabella when she was shedding last week was rubbing her chin on her favorite vine and a huge piece came off, like ten minutes later she turned and struck it and ate it lol then she was trying to get a fly on the top of her screen and was trying to climb up to the top for like 20 minutes lmao

If you can I would grab a hibiscus or ficus and just keep it outdoors it would do great, then just sit there in a lawn chair and chillax with him :D

Lol Yoshi was on a food hunt a few weeks ago. He was trying to eat EVERYTHING, no joke. Even my watch. He rubbed his head against a branch and a huge piece of shed skin came off and he immediately turned and ate it. Haha freaked me out!

That is how she is with wax worms lmao she goes nuts, I teased her last night with it and she would go to the end of her perch and stretch out and try to get it like 5 times lol I gave it to her but at the site she goes nuts

I had a little girl at a pet store on my arm that I couldn't resist (I imagined her to be a girl LMAO) holding. She sat on my shoulder forever and then climbed on my head. Lol but the guy pulled her off before she could get all the way up :( https://www.chameleonforums.com/baby-veiled-pics-87326/

That is my guy with roaches :) (By the way have you got any yet?) Sometimes when he sees a new food he "tastes" it before he eats it. He shoots his tongue at it three or four times without grabbing it before eating it... Lol so funny xD

Oh my god she does that too lol she does that with kale. And sadly no, her mother will not allow the Dubia roaches in the house :( otherwise I would go to town on them, well Isa would lol.

Aw man that sucks. They really would not affect anyone at all... They don't smell, make noise, or climb.

Yeah but she had a bad experIance when she was younger in her own apartment... So pretty much an eff to da no on that one lol crickets are fine though, we go through 500 a week though

Honestly I hate crickets more than roaches lol. You have a 99.9% chance that they will escape and they screech like hell. They smell like crap too. Yeah my aunt that was visiting last week was freaked out that she had to be in the same house with 200+ cockroaches... LMAO. She lived in run-down apartments in Florida so she had experiences too... One crawled on her leg while she was sleeping and she flung it off and heard it hit the wall!! ROFL

Yeah lol she had a similar experIance but I don't mind crickets to bad they havent given me a reason to hate them as a feeder. But the one a week that gets away lol omg does that piss me off lmao

Here is my previous baby girl running away after escaping from her hibiscus... she seemed stunned that I was able to see her!
