LOL!! Sounds like my Kokie.
He is still very shy (not terrified, just shy!) and sometimes will slink back
into his thick jungle very slowly when he sees me.
His eye will be fixed on me as he creeps away to find a place to hide w/o me noticing

Usually, he had been enjoying the dripper, or basking, so he gives me the
stink eye as he retreats.

He only does this when I come home from work and he sees me.
After a while, he settles down and comes back out
