Yesterday i dropped off a fecal sample at my vets office. Today I got a call from my vet hearing Jaspers results...

*Drumroll please.......* Jasper has ZERO parasites!

Jasper just had a speedy recovery fighting pinworms & coccidia and passed both parasites in a month!

My vet did say he's not sure how Jasper may do after, because the meds/parasites can be harsh on a chameleon...

But i'm glad it's gone! :D

Thank you to everyone who helped me out! Shows how much the forums can really help!!!

:D

Now I just gotta find flying insects to keep Jasper eating...

That is the best news! ;) Very happy to hear this and, by the way, GREAT JOB! Takes a lot of patience and dedication to do what you did and the results are just what I was hoping to hear.

Thank you so much!

Really made my morning hearing the news...

And yes, It def takes A LOT of patience and dedication to get through coccidia.

I finally get to add a bunch of foliage to Jaspers cage! Had to keep it bare so it'll make cleaning it out easier.

While congratulations are still in order, I wouldn't consider him out of the woods just yet. Let him get another couple fecals more before adding plants and such to your cage. Parasites don't always ahow up in every fecal because they don't always shed eggs or individuals that you can see under a microscope. I would wait a couplenmore weeks and test again. If you keep getting negatives, you know you've beat it for sure!

This^^^

My bearded dragon once had the same parasites, The cocci was unbelievably gone within two weeks and the worms i had thought as well...
3 weekes in a row she tested clean, and on the 4th week positive again for pins.

But congrats on the clean fecal! One step closer to victory!

Thanks Olimpia...

My vet did mention to bring in another fecal test in a few weeks. I even left a spermplug in the fecal too :)

Hopefully everythings gone, I won't jump the gun just yet. I wanted to add a few more plants anyways to bump up the humidity. Jaspers starting to shed so it wont hurt.

Well done to both. That's great news.:)

Yup, thanks kate! We'll see in a month from now if it's really gone...

Thanks! I'll def be taking a few fecals in for a check up. Hopefully they're all gone.

That's great news!!!! :) Like everyone said get a few more fecals every few weeks to make sure Jasper stays clean. I'd keep cleaning everything once a week too for awhile.

So glad to hear that Jasper is doing so much better!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

:D yup, thats exactly how my face looked when my vet told me the news. Just don't want to get too excited lol. Hopefully in a few weeks his next fecal will show up with 0 parasites. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!
