Jake showing off at breakfast...

I wanted to share some pics of Jake. I got him from Jake at West coast chameleons. He is originally from Tyler Stewart.

These pics are from this morning when I was feeding chams. The misters had just stopped and Jake was taking a stroll down his vine.

He does this every time I open his cage...:D He'll be calm, then he gets this look like I opened the bathroom door on him while hes in the shower... then pauses and fires up all huge like 'HEY SHUT THE DOOR!'

He also HATES the camera... If he can reach it he'll lunge for it and grab it and head butt it... He has almost leaped from a branch before  I try to keep the photo shoots short and to the point... I also keep distance so he doesn't try anything

I don't know if he would try and bite me if I held him with my hands... but I ALWAYS handle him on a stick... I have felt him bite through gloves before and it was STRONG and he was only 9 months old at the time.... (don't wear yellow and black gloves around males ;)) He is now about 18-19 months old. he pushes the 230g mark sometimes... but I don't feed him a ton, and he won't eat a ton. He tries to stay lean for the ladies..... :p

Take the bite.......it has to happen sooner or later as us Boa people say....lol
I get bit at least a dozen times a week from my Herps.......its just part of the hobby. Just 5mins or so....my one female Beardie took my finger almost to the first section(my fault of course...she has an awesome feeding response). It happens.

I've had my share of bites... and I'd like to keep it to a min now LOL.

My Melleri, Lenny, bit me once... but it wasn't her fault and it wasn't aggressive... just a mistaken identity :D She had a HW stuck to her lip and when it nudged it, she bit down on my finger thinking my finger was the worm... she bit down pretty hard... prolly hoping to crush the worm....... when my finger didn't cave in like a HW might... she let up after a short pause........ no blood, left teeth marks, but by far one of the hardest bites I've felt....
