I got a new male jacksons and when i put him his cage he turns really dark and becomes stressed. When i take him out he becomes his normal colors and isn't stressed. Did i get a cham that likes to come out?
Is there something in the cage that could be stressing him out? I had this happen with a panther before that was scared to death of the misting nozzle in his cage.
How dark is really dark? He could definitely be stressed outside of the cage, and not stressed inside of the cage, because sometimes lighter, brighter, stronger colors can also mean stress. If he's new, he is probably just get used to the cage.
i just saw him and i think he just needed to settle in but i took him out for like ten min and his colors went to a normal dark green and it never changed and he didnt seem stressed and he was active
