Jackson is adjusting?

I've had my jackson's chameleon for close to a week now. I never handle him apart from once when I changed his enclosure. Humidity is high, I've got my mister spraying once every three hours for one minute intervals. For some reason he seems to sticking to his brown color. The temp in the cage is about 74 degrees on the cooler side. . He's eating and drinking plenty. I'm just figuring he's adjusting to his new home still. Any tips or questions, just let me know

How old is he? From your other thread he looks older than my baby Jax who is 15 weeks. Mine stays brown a lot of the time in his viv and goes green when I take him out just like yours does. I was told that they stay brown as babies or quite a while. I am also new to Jacksons so I don't know how old they are when they stay green permanently. What is the temp in the hottest part of his viv? I have a 40W desk lamp pointing to one corner of Monty's viv and he spends some time there when he's not cruising around his viv. His temps range from 80 - 84 depending on whether our central heating is on or not. The rest of the age is in mid to high 70's. They also need a good drop of 10 degrees or so at night. It is currently winter here in the UK so this is not difficult for me since we don't have any house heating on at all overnight. Everyone seems happy with this , both chameleons and geckos alike.

Well, I'd say he's close to 4 months or so. I'm just making sure the little guy is happy. Well for the warmer part of the cage it doesnt go above 80. Ive read that they need cooler temperatures than most species of chameleon.

Jacksons rule! I have the same problem w/my Kiwi...brown in her cage (despite excellent husbandry) but green when out. She's about 5 - 6 months, and I believe it is something she will grow out of. I've actually started multiple threads here to try and figure it out but we just can't find a solid answer.

I figure she's just very smart and is mildly stressed about feeling like she's captive. Then when she's really stressed, she looks much different than when she's brown in her cage...here's examples of all 3 to show u what I mean (all were taken within the last week or so). Anyways, don't overstress about it (like I did!).
