Hello there. I am getting a Jackson Chameleon, 3 - 4 months old in a matter of days. So I have some time to make certain adjustments, although I certainly hope there aren't too many needed if any since I spent quite a bit of time purchasing and setting everything up lol.
That lamp is the most concerning thing to me. It isn't, but still almost touching the enclosure. Note, ALMOST, but still quite close, plus there is still more distance from the enclosure to the bulb than there is from the dome. It is about half an inch from the cage. Also, this is a Mini Combo Deep Dome Lamp Fixture from Zoomed. I got it in a tropical UVB and Heat Lighting Kit. Inside is a Daylight Blue Reptile Bulb, and a Zoomed, Reptisun 5.0 UVB (13 Watt Tropical, Mini Compact Fluorescent). I am concerned about overheating the Chameleon. I suppose I could just keep an eye on him and make sure that he does not get too close after measuring the exact temperature, but I am aware these must be on 10-12 hours a day.
Do you think I'll be fine or should I try to fix this?
