Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Jackson's Chameleon, Male, 7 months.
I've had him in my care for about 4 months now.

Handling - Once or Twice a week. For cleaning and sunshine :)

Feeding - Crickets and Silkworms. (going to start a roach colony soon) Maybe about 4-5 crickets a day and 1 Silkworm every other day. I am feeding his cricket colony with Dandelions and Potatoes with a sprinkle of Calcium no D3.

Supplements - Repti-Vit Herptavites Multivitamins [Once every 2 weeks], Repti-Vit Calcium with No D3 [Twice a Week], Fluker's Calcium with D3 [Once every 6 weeks] (both phosphorus free).

Watering - I Mist and he has a Little Dripper. The Dripper is dripping most of the day except for the last hour b4 bed. I mist 4-6 times a day depending on how fast the right side of his cage drys up. I also have a Humidifier that i run for like 45-60 minutes 2-3 times a day for humidity.

Fecal Description - Beautiful dropping. Brown and Urate is White.

History - He had an eye infection a few months back which has almost completely gone away.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen Eclosure, 16x16x24

Lighting - 100w Basking lamp which is elevated about a 15" above the enclosure. 8am-8pm

Temperature - I try to keep his basking spot at about 82F sometime it gets to 84F but thats about the time i usually mist. The lows are about 70F-74F

Humidity - They can drop to about 45% right b4 i mist but I keep them at about 70-80% with the humidifier and misting.

Plants - I have a Bonzai Ficus inside the enclosure and vines and a few fake plants all around the enclosure.

Placement - He is in the corner of my room near a window but out of the way of light from it. I do have a fan on the opposite side of the wall which doesn't really reach him cause its elevated above his enclosure.

Location - In the same room sometimes but I am quite and keep to myself really. He does the same except when he wants sunshine.

Current Problem - So I found a blister-like area on the right side of his back near the back of his head and was wondering if it was a blister, burn, or is this a sign that he is about to shed? He has shed with me twice and is around the time he should be shedding again I believe.

how hot is the mesh? it doesnt look like a shed, but its not quite clear enough.... the picture.

could be a burn..

): sadness...The mesh isn't hot at all ): here is a more clear picture

Seems like an odd spot for a burn. Could be fungal, although your husbandry is good (perhaps a few too many mistings in combination with the humidifier). Probably time for a vet visit.

any suggestions on any vets around the orange county area. the last one i went to didn't seem to know much.

Okay, So I called Dr. Tom Greens place and set an appointment for monday since he is booked all weekend ): but hopefully I can get in sooner if someone can't make it or cancels :) thanks for your little bit of input and if its fungus I ain't waiting and gonna get him checked out ASAP
