Yes, I think your chameleon is scared. Especially when they are young, their instinct is to run and hide. If they can't hide, they will hiss, gape, and maybe bite. Using the stick is probably the best way to start since he responds better to that. I would work with him slowly. It will take a lot of time but eventually he may get more comfortable around you. I would not even take him out every day. Instead, every day try feeding him a few feeders by hand. This takes time and patience too but eventually he will associate your hand with good things. Then he may be willing to climb onto your hand without freaking out. Be sure to always move slowly.

It took me two months before I could hold my chameleon and I got him as an adult that was already used to people. Just be patient! :)

I'd say your chameleon is just being a chameleon! ;) Even now my boy doesn't come running out to see me. Just go slow, be patient, approach from below if possible (less like a predator), and don't force the issue. The hardest part is not jumping when they hiss and lunge. After more handling, as long as they do not get overly stressed by it, it becomes easier. My veiled actually spends more time exploring his enclosure and watching what's going on in the rest of the house when he is handled more. He responded well to the interaction and is not as quick to hide. I still get arm cramps trying to gently persuade him out.

This is him dose have a bump on his noise got him like that only had him 3day

I'd be careful with that bump. It could be a sign of a sinus infection or an abscess.

The bump could be pus and may have to be removed by a vet with a small procedure. If not treated it can cause problems with the eyes, sinus passages, etc.
You may want to post a picture of that and start a thread in the health forum to get some more feedback on it.

Very cute cham by the way. :)

Looks like it is something. Only got him on 28th dec so going back to the pet shop see what there going to do and say not happy
