Is my cameleon fat or eggy?

My Calyptratus has been with me for since 1 month and a half, and qhen he came i believe he was around 5 months old...

when he came he was on the skinny side, but still he wasn't very weak, so since he got here he has been growing nice, had his skin changed and now... grown his belly like this. I do't know if he is male or female, i can't see any bump on any foot, but still, I believe he is young ( I don't know how much it influences it though).

I'd like to know if any of you guys can help me determine if he's just fat or may be producing eggs, or even worst, be eggbound (is case she's female). I've placed a sandbox in her terrarium anyway just in case.

can you help me with that?

here are some pics..

(don't worry about the terrarium, it is 50 cm tall, 40 wide and 30 spread. till, I'm building him a new one on 130cm tall, 120 cm wide and 55.

If its a male then it isn't eggs. Also, take a picture of the hindlegs, we can see if it is a male or female. If it is a female, she might be cycling eggs.

It is a female, she is most likely cycling eggs. If Brad Ramsey sees this thread he probably will be the one who can help you most.

she is defiantly not a he. i don't think its eggs yet, she dose look a bit plump but nothing out of the ordinary from what i can see. all in all i would say you have a nice looking cham on your hands. you defiantly want to get her into a screen cage asap but you said you where already working on that. i would watch to see if she starts to get lumpy then she is getting ready to lay but right now i say she looks fine double check with brad but i say she looks fine. how much and how often do you feed her?

hehe, thanks for the feedback! I was suspecting she was a female too, but, again, it's my first so I just have the theory in mind :p

well, I'm keeping her at a day temperature of 25ºC to 32ºC pending on the spots, and humidity levels are kept around 60%, sometimes 50%, sometimes 80%, but mostly around 60 to 70.

I'm feeding her the only thing I can get for her in portugal: crickets, Tenébrios (I wonder how I spell that in english, anyway it is: http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/teneb/Tenebrio_larva_1.jpg ) and zophobas. When I'm out of crickets (several sizes) I give her fruit flies (I live in an isolated area, and flies are just for 2 days maximum).
Daily I feed her around 6 or 7 tenébrios when I'm out of crickets and 1 or 2 fruit flies. Around 4 or 5 crickets and around 4 tenébrios normally. and once in a while, like once a week, I drop a zophoba, he will eventually eat it.

Daily I'm feeding inside those quantities along the day with no certain rule.

oh! just one doubt... For the new terrarium, I should get a reptisun 5.0 or 10.0? I mean, what are the % of the UVA/UVB quantities?

Thanks for the replys once again!

thanks a lot for the help!
I sure didn't know that article and I can say right away that it is very welcome and very useful!

I will sure make adjustments, I was really guessing on the vitamins/calciums quantities, now i will make sure I wont make a mistake. Thanks a lot for sharing this quality information with us. I'm reading the blog from head to toe.

thanks a lot ;)
