Is my branch too close to the UVB light?

Hi, I recently got a veiled chameleon, I have my cage setup but I'm not sure if my branch is too close to the light? He sits there a lot and I wasn't sure if I should lower it? Also his eyes look a little off to me but I'm not sure.

I would lower them. You need way more plants in there, he could get really stressed if there's no where to hide. Walmart and Home Depot have cheap plants. I would go get a schefflera to put in there.

if its a reptisun 5.0, its kinda worthless after afoot
If its a reptisun 10.0, its kinda worthless after 18"

You can have the cham as close as you want to cfl/T8 bulbs.

As yes that cage is way too spartan.

I have more foliage below those branches in the pictures.

What is the temperature at the spot where he is sitting? Also agree that he needs more plants up high. Sure is a cute little guy!

I rearranged the leaves a little but here is how it is setup right now. The temperature where he sits is 90.4°F. I just measured it.
