I have a veiled chameleon that is about 5 months old and I heard that meal worms are hard do digest because of there shells. Is this true?

Yeah meal worms are hard to digest and have bad/small nutrition value. On the other hand super worms are fine to feed but your cham can get addicted to them so dont feed them often. Best to feed in my opinion are dubias, crickets and res runner roaches!

Yes, it is true. Plus they aren’t very nutritious. Maybe this will help.

Chams eat beetles in the wild, if they can do that mealworms should be np? Not saying they're a great feeder, but a few on a rare occasion should do no harm.
