Is it normal.........???

Over the past several weeks I have noticed that Flash is sleeping about half the time kinda layed out flat on one of his basking branches. Is this the "norm" or is there something that I should be aware of ??? The other half of the time he is all curled up and sleeping like you normally see a cham sleeping. Also, sometimes instead of sleeping stretched out on one of his branches, he will be sleeping head up along the side of the screen cage. Abnormal behavior.........or not ???

Sleeping during the day is a sign of illness. You need to find a good chameleon vet and get him a check up right away.

Spread out flat= He is making hiss body as big as he can to gather more heat. And sleeping during the day is not good^^^^

No...........No.........he isn't sleeping at all during the day. This is at night.

Sorry.........I didn't mean to mislead anyone. I just didn't know if that was a "normal" way for chameleons to sleep at night. His eating, drinking and pooping are completely normal. I just thought it was wierd that he suddenly started doing this. Perhaps it's time to move him on up to his larger cage.......I don't know.

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. He woke up by the time I got the cage door unlatched.........as you can see. He just apparently likes to sleep like this............sometimes ???

It's normal. Mine does the exact same thing, and since ours are brothers....it's no surprise that yours does too!

I hate to admit it, but once (or maybe twice;)) I actually moved him because he looked "uncomfortable" and it was bothering me. I just let him go now, there is no rhyme or reason, he just randomly picks weird sleeping positions sometimes.

Thanks.........I just thought it was kinda strange that he suddenly adopted these new ways of catching a few zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's. :)

The picture looks very comfortable compared to some of the sleeping positions my two have got into :)
