Hi again im trying to get my cham on a good dust for his food as i don't have one yet and im tryng to get on the right path. I'm thinking of getting Repashy Calcium Plus Vitamin and Calcium all in one. That sound like a good start to you guys? Also i wana get some more wight on him/her any ideas on what i could do to fatten up my cham a bit?

alot of people are using that as it is endorsed on the Kammers Website. Kammers are a very reputable breeder. so the answer is yes, it is good to use.

Repashy all in one does what it says on the tin :). I have never used it myself, but you don't need more than that one. To fatten your cham up I recommend giving really good gutload to your insects and giving lots of insects :) (repashy make a product called bug burger which is a great start). Use a variety of feeder insects and gutload stuff, you can find all the info you need from sandrachameleon - https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/sandrachameleon/75-feeder-nutrition-gutloading.html

sorry chameleopatrick i dont always have time to poke around on the net. If i wanted to read around on my own i wouldn't have became a member of this site just to read, also it took you alot longer to type what u did when u could have just said yes or no. I post because i don't have time to look all over the net and when i look at my laptop im hoping for help to be on my thread. My cham needs help asap as i was led down the wrong path and am trying to fix it as fast as i can so i don't have time to take my time if u get me at all. So sorry if i seem clueless alot but maybe some of you shouldn't be so prestigious and upedy like this is above u or some thing.Remember you don't always have to ride such a high horse. Thanks carol5208 im going to buy that now just wanted to make sure i was on the right path.

Thanks davidbuchan ill keep the bug burger in mind for sure lol

He wasn't trying to be rude. Reading the Faq's is much faster than waiting for replies unless ur lucky that's why ye suggested It. Wax worms super worms meal worms are fAtty. But should only he treats not a staple, or main portion of the diet. Long as he gets some dusted staple such as crickets meal worms only need to be gutloaded not dusted.

Thanks alot and im sorry about that its just strange to me when i see that like 80 people have seen the thread and only 4 bother to say any thing. Is it to under must the people on here to help with things like that? it just leads me to think alot of people on here might have sticks up there asses. This is a forum for help is it not? so why bother to read and not say any thing. I would think all the things i have asked would be simple for most people on here to answer yet they just look and move on. Alot of you guys seem really picky with your help. again sorry and thanks to all who have helped.

I think alot of the people don't reply is because they do not know the answer. I just checked and there are 50 members on here right now and 142 guests. I am assuming most of the guest are just exploring around and maybe are new owners or don't even own a chameleon yet. I poked around here for a few months before I joined and I surely would not have been able to answer the question you asked 2 years ago. Alot of people may not know what Repashy all in one even is. So, no I do not think it is people with "sticks up their asses" or they think they are too good to answer. If you stick around you will see you will get all the answers to your questions. Sometimes you have to be patient!!

You joined so the members here can serve your needs?

We're not responsive enough to your asked a million times questions that have already been answered and published?

Stick up my ass?

No just sick of people so lazy they can't even read the FAQ's and want personal attention like they are special.

That is all.

This is a very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly forum........everyone who is patient enough to stay around for a while knows that :) but you can't expect instant answers from everyone even on simple questions.
It is quicker to search for answers yourself if you know what you are looking for, so don't take it too personally.

To Chameleopatrick - How can you be sick of helping people out before you've got to 50 posts anyway? ;)

nothing to do with being lazy its being to busy to poke around her. im stuck with this cham that i do indeed want but was led down the wrong path by the damn pet store. I'm trying to get him an open air cage as we speak and i am leaving for the pet store/vet now to see about check up and getting dust . i just wanted to use this for side help like a fast EMI help line or some thing on the go. I have no one to talk to about this that knows any thing. im trying to get every thing done asap wile doing a million other things i just need fast help right now. I do want to look around this is a really cool site just not time till i can get the major things out of the way. Sorry to every one....

lol i said poke around her. i don't know what to even look for the pet store had me doing every thing wrong. I have got alot of help so far and i am rushing to fix a few major things. . again sorry

just ask as many questions as you need to. The pet stores are notorious for giving out the wrong info. You are not the first person to stumble upon the forum and find out that you have been misled.

If it is indeed a senegal.

If you want to experiment with repashy calcium plus that is a option up to you. The kammers only did this with panther chameleons from my understanding. Not every species of chameleons have the exact same nutritional needs. With that said. Personally i dont have much experience with senegals but i would try plain phos free calcium every feeding and reptivite twice a month. Just my recommendation.

Check this out.

You posted a FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION and was sitting around waiting (impatiently) for a response, getting upset because people read but didn't respond.

Thing is, instead of taking the time (more time in reality) to post your Frequently Asked Question, you could have just read the FAQ and gotten your answer and probably MANY other answers for future questions. This will be especially useful given you were so misinformed.

So in reality instead of coming on here and bickering about not being helped the way YOU wanted to be helped, if you would have taken his advice you would probably be several steps a head of the game.

I'm new to this site and pretty new to the idea of owning a chameleon (don't even have one yet... I'm doing my due diligence FIRST!), guess where my next stop will be? That's right, the FAQ's.

@DavidBuchan, This is my FIRST post yet I can understand his frustration... you don't have to post here a lot to have seen the same questions over and over and get tired of people not doing their own research first. Why have a FAQ? Why not just fill the forum up with the same repetitive questions over and over?

Just my observation... now, I'm off to read the FAQ! ;)

I agree entirely, and good for you :) some people are just not so computer/ internet / forum savvy as you are though. Bad advice from pet stores seems to be a very common theme among new people here, so reassurance is often required.
I also understand the frustrations expressed, of course - but I hope nobody gets put off the forum straight away, because that would be bad for the Chameleon..........and I'm more bothered about that than a little bit of silly tetchiness :)

I heard the kammers only experimented with panthers on repashy, but you just recommended the same schedule that the repashy was intended to replace, right? So if the panthers are supposed to have the same schedule as senegals then repashy calcium plus should do equally well for them............
