What time does your lights turn on? how long do they run for? What are your cage temps? I have a handfull of veileds, some tuck in a little early some bask until the last second lights are on. It sometimes depends on the individual animal or a out side factor like lighting, diet, activity, etc.

Seems to be yes, its been reported here more times than you can poke a stick at. My own lizard settles about an hour before the lights go off. They become accustomed to routine. Setting your lights on a timer for whatever photoperiod you have chosen will be more regular and healthier for the animal.

yes well i have a timer.....because it seems quite necessary(i mean would you want someone forgetting to turn the sun on) haha lights on at 730 am.....lights off at 630pm..... he eats crickets basically daily coated in straight calcium for five days and off for two.....calcium and d3 once a month and herptivite twice a month.....once and awhile he gets a horned worm i plan on letting him have some silk worms and wax worms once and awhile when i get my hands on them. degrees in the day time 75 at the bottom and 80 in the middle and usually 80-85 at his basking point somtimes it hits 90 but not often...i havnt been able to watch him much but he seems to move around his cage a lot when i get off work before falling asleep so id say hes active......he also just got over a uri on sunday was his last dose of baytril..... that i know of hes better and more active than before however i dont want to take him out of his cage for a few days because for two weeks ive had to force medicine into his mouth and he needs some alone time haha.

They're all different, if its late out and you forget to turn the lights out (for example), they go to sleep by themselves. I find they are literally like little people most of the time. If theyve had alot of handling, or a vet visit, or anything that qualifies as a "busy day" for them, they will crash out earlier. They each have theyre own little routine
If he just got over uri, you might want to increase the heat. Cool temps will give a veiled uri very quick. They like it hot. I keep mine outside during the summer and have seen them bask in temps just over 100! 80 is fine for the bottom and a night drop to about 60-70 will promote good health.
