Hello everyone, I would like to ask for your help and I would really appreciate any replies,

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - He is a male veiled chameleon and his name is Bob. He is about 20 months old and I have had him since he was 2 weeks old.
  • Handling - I used to handle him almost every day but nowadays I usually handle him once per week.
  • Feeding - I am feeding him with crickets and zophobas superworms once a day. (It is really hard to get any other types of food in our country)
  • Watering - I have 2 dripping systems that drip from the top of his cage, I see him drink every day and I mist once per day
  • Fecal Description - He has not been tested for parasites. His poop looks normal compared to other photos.
  • History - I have noticed this about 2 weeks ago

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - He is in a Repti Planet 91 x 45 x 90 cm cage
  • Lighting - He has 2 Basking Lights and 2 UVB lights. They turn on at 6 AM and turn off at 9:30 PM
  • Temperature - About 27°C
  • Humidity - Varies throughout the day
  • Plants - I have 3 live plants and a fake one. The large one is a Ficus, a Draceana and the small one is an Epipremnum Aureum
  • Placement - The cage is about 80 cm off the ground, it is in my room next to my computer, he only sees me and rarely our dogs
  • Location - South Slovakia

Current Problem - His right eye looks very wrinkly (see photo). Is this an infection? I am worried about his health.

Any info would help, thanks a lot in advance :)

Repti Planet Multivitamin and Tortoise Calcium.
The lights are about 17-13 cm from the branches (2 Compact-Fluoroscent UVB 5.0 26W lights)

The lighting looks good. CFL bulbs dont put out much, but they are very close to the lizard and they are 26 watts each.

Repti Planet Multivitamin
Composition: calcium carbonate, vitamin D3, vitamin and mineral supplements. Dietary ingredients in 1 kg of vitamins and pro vitamins: vitamin D3 25,000 IU Also contains vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B6, B12, nicotinic and pantothenic acid, folic acid, biotin, choline chloride, minerals: Fe, Co, Mn, Cu, Zn, I, Se.

Hmm your supplement is not super high in D3, its simular to the dose of the recommended Calcium Plus LoD

Are you only giving the vitamin twice a month? and the tortoise calcium for the other feedings?

I only give him calcium like once a week which I think could be causing the problem. From now on should I give him calcium in all of his food?

calcium every feeding(doesnt have to be every feeder). twice a month you give him the vitamin that has the calcium in it. This also counts as the twice a month D3 suppliment, since its mixed in with the vitamin. Some people dont have all in ones.

So the schedule is:
twice a month multi vitamin
twice a month D3
calcium every feeding
