Introducing Igor- our other reptile...

This is Igor, our first bearded dragon. My daughter purchased him at a local reptile show last month. Igor is yellow and orange with a beautiful eggplant colored tie-dye pattern running down his back, no clue how to describe it any better. He is sharing the "Reptile Room", also known as the office/orchid nursery, with our chameleon and a variety of yummy bugs. Igor is four months old now and his 40 gallon terrarium is already starting to look quite small. I guess I'll need to shop for a bigger home for him at the Pomona shows next weekend.

That is a very nice looking dragon! Randy has some great stuff :)

Going to make it to the Super Show? Edit... I just read the whole post, you will be at the show. . . Stop by and say hello! :D

Thanks.
There were other vendors with pretty bearded dragons as well, but Randy's stood out, at least in my opinion. He and Lisa are very nice to talk to, and their customer service doesn't stop the moment you hand the money over.

Very nice. I am in need of a beardie. Does this person have a website? Any info on them?

Thanks

Hi,
their website is www.alphadragonz.com. Igor's dad "Gelby" and his aunt "Aphrodite" are pictured in one of the galleries.
Randy and Lisa are located in the San Diego area. They are very nice. They have been awesome answering our gazillion questions, returning phone calls and emails.

Aren't they fun? Of course, our chameleon is more fascinating to watch, but therefore Igor is a lot more social and likes being handled.
How long have you had yours?

I have had my bearded dragon for 9 years and he came to me aged approx 1 year. He is therefore very old. His cage mate died of old age this January. They were both extremely loving lizards. I get my remaining beardie out at least once a day for a long cuddle. Both seemed to enjoy human interaction:)
BTW my Amber (the one that died January) was the most beautiful sand and orange colour.

I'm so very sorry to hear you lost Amber. We lost our first cham who was a panther in September. It's always so terrible to lose one of our beloved pets.
Were you able to house Amber and your other beardie in the same enclosure? What size terrarium are you using?

I did use to house my two beardies in the same enclosure, a 5ft vivarium. They were sold to me like that and they seemed to get along. Despite Amber being a female name, Amber was actually a male beardie. Most people say it isn't wise to keep two males together but they got on like brothers.
