identifying my chameleon

Doxy if you want to keep the chameleon then go for it, if I were you I would :D
Like Benny (eisentrauti) said there are bigger problems for them to worry about instead of you with just one chameleon. Though I would not wave it in the faces of anyone from cape nature, they will be on you like a fly to dog turd.

Just make sure you are fully prepared to take on this new responsibilty.
You will need to give it daily care and in the beginning, quite constant care.
Unfortunetly there is no info on keeping your exact species that you have because of the South African law protecting them from export, your cham is quite exclusive then :)
Whats nice is you still live in the same area where you found it so it wont really do too bad.
I would keep it in a fully screened enclosure with some live plants, like a ficus and or a scheffelera (sorry dont know if that is the right spelling, too lazy to check).
And sorry in the other thread I said it looked like a female, I could not see properley but now I see it is definetely a boy and a really nice looking one too!

Since he is WC you need to give him a lot of water, I would mist him quite well about 3 times a day, maybe have a dripping water source too so he can drink when he wants to.
Then for lighting you will need a UVB tube 5.0, and a UVA or heat lamp, 50-75 watts.
I know of an online reptile supplies store for here in S.A that deliver to pretty much anywhere so I will send you the links in a PM and you will be sorted :) Remember though, this costs quite a bit in the end...so make sure you are ready for it, dont try to take shortcuts, because you and your cham will come short in the end!

Hope some of that info has helped you out
Cheers
