The shipping was on sale a week ago, like half off. They have sales like that sometimes you just have to look. Hope this helps a little.

also petco has them on sale for 25 dollars sometimes, sometimes they are healthy sometimes they are not, it is hit and miss.

are all geckos nocturnal??? are the cresteds out anymore than the leopards? i had a leopard that i never saw until it was feeding time... or is this just standard gecko behavior?

Cresties are nocturnal. Mine sometimes venture out during the day, but not often. Their habits actually fit quite nicely with the chams, because when all the lights go out the chams go to sleep and the cresties wake up! I get the best of both worlds!

i would not ever go to petco or petsmart for cresties. try kingsnake.com, reptile expos, or craigslist, good deals or cresties on craigslist sometimes

cresties are nocturnal, they'll sometimes have a wander during day but not often. I have a strip of red led's i fitted to my tanks for nighttime viewing
