I think something is wrong with this baby... maybe a birth defect?

His eyes just look....odd....he's not blind but there is definatly something off. Anyone else seen anything like this before?

Looks like the eyelids are not fully formed. I think I've seen something similar but don't recall where.

Maybe you can ask him about the baby he had if it looks like yours.

Is this something that will eventually cause its death or other health problems? Hes at least a week old, but compairing him to the size of his siblings he's probably more like 2 weeks old. Seems like he eats and drinks. He's one of the bigger babies I have.

I don't think we can predict at this point. A week old is very very young. Many hatchlings that are not destined to survive are still going at this age. I don't know if this mutation will make its eyes more prone to infection, constant irritations, or dessication. We also don't know if there are any other associated defects not visible.

i cant contribute to what it is or if he is going to make it but ill be hopeful for you both!!
