dnt use that light it is bad for your chameleon. it can put to much uva/uvb. it also is really bad for your chameleons eyes and most likely will make him blind :/ get the linear bulbs.

This appears to be a standard 5000k CFL, not a UV CFL, so it is OK.

The eye problems and skin burning resulted from an earlier version of a UV CFL.

you will not be able to provide the uvb source the animal needs with this. i would just get a double florescent tube fixture and use a reptiSUN (zoomed) or reptiGLO (exo-terra) 5.0 along with a 6500K.

in regards to the cfls causing blindness, this has been an issue that was common with longer term use but has been modified and enhanced as time has gone by, it was mostly a problem with zoomed's cfl. not all of them are bad, zoomed has seemed to fix this problem and ive never heard of issues with exo-terra. just keep in mind if using, get the latests years model of the bulb.

I actually use the 125 watt 6500K version in all my large enclosures along with a 100 watt MV flood... works great.. super bright, the plants love it. I've used this combo for years with no problems. Except @ 225 watts per cage, X 4 cages electricity gets pretty pricey
