First off I was wondering if anyone has ever had a chameleon who is perfectly fine, until you decide to go look at them and watch them for a while and then he decides to scare the life out of you by making popping noises from the throat. Now I was thinking it was a RI so I took him to the vet and had him checked out and he was fine nothing at all, still I just want to know if I am just crazy here.
Next something that came up very recently my chameleon finished shedding not to long ago, and it went by pretty fast but today I noticed something on his eye that looked like a crust of some kind or something so I got a qtip and put warm water on it and tried to wipe it off but it was attached from what I could tell. Then his eye was closed I dont know for how long I just got home and saw checked his other eye and it was open so he wasnt sleeping. I wish I had a picture because that would make this easier but I wont be able to post one until tommorow.

Hi! Sorry your little guy is worrying you!

What did your vet do to check for an RI? I only ask because I saw a vet when my girl had one, she def had one and the vet said she didn't. I practically had to beat the baytril out of the vet to get my girl better.

I have heard of infections in the sinus that can affect the eyes. I'm no expert or saying that this is what's wrong but if you thought he had an infection it could have travelled and could be what's causing the eye issues. I just think its suspicious coincidence :)

It would be helpful if you could fill out the help form https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ then folks could maYbe shed some light on the situ for you!

He checked his mouth for excess saliva and bubbles along with the eyes and the upper area of the mouth. after that he looked at the way he was breathing to see if it had traveled lower.
