Well, my old male, who is scarred and handicapped, is still fiesty.
When he was young,m he was viscious.
My first male was as ice as a bearded dragon. He was a WC male, not big, only 12". But he was nice and friendly. I bred him, incubated the eggs, hatched them and cared for them - and every one of those babies hated my guts from day one.
My current male (the old one) has calmed down with age. He wouldn't eat in front of me for over a year ( I never saw him eat or drink, only hide). At about 2, maybe 3 years, he really relaxed. Still mean, but tolerable. He'll eat from my hand even if I held him outside in front of 20 strange kids.
Strange, that all the first WC veields I've seen were dog tame, andall the WC panthers were evil. Now, generations in, it's reversed.
Still, if you want a friendly chameleon, research melleri (and hope you get one that's not evil - there's always a chance).
