ok so the humidity in my house is 60% during the day and goes to about 70% at night i was wondering how often i would have to mist my little guy at day and for how long with that kind of humidity?

You still need to mist regularly at least 4-5 times a day for 5 mins. The misting doesn't only help maintain humidity it is also a way for your chameleon to drink water. When you mist make sure the plants leafs are soaked and dripping. Do you have a dripper set up?

It depends on the chameleon. Some need that "rain soaked environment" to decide it's okay to drink...if that's your chameleon, then you do need to mist several times a day. Some chameleons will park under the dripper and drink right off it. If that's your chameleon, with that sort of humidity, you don't need to mist much at all.

I agree, both my guys drink off of drippers and my humidity in their indoor enclosures is about 55% with no misting during the day. I mist them outdoors, not for the humdiity (as florida is about 100%, or feels like it anyways- yuk) but to cool them down and to mist their skin, especially when they are shedding.

I'm still a rookie so take my post with a grain of salt but...

The urates are the tell tale. If their nice and white, don't change anything, the cham is drinking well enough. If the urates have an orange tinge to them or worse, are orange, you need to change things up.

I auto mist for 90 seconds 8 times per day. First time is an hour after the lights come on, and the last time for the day is an hour before the lights go off. I also squeegie the water off the bottom of the cage and pick-up poop before the lights go off.

I also have a dripper in each cage going all day. Turn that on when we all wake up and shut it off at night.

I also like hand misting when we all wake up in the morning before the first "auto mist" since everything is dry and again when I walk in the door from work just for grins.

My chams urates are as white as the driven snow :D
