Humidity Hell

ok so my panther enclosure (2x2x4 DIY screen) is ready and stocked with live plants and I have my mistking going 5 min 1x in the morning and 3 min. 3x a day. This is the 3rd time I have moved the cage to a different spot in my house to correct the RH. Upstairs it was way too dry even out of the way of the heating vents and this mist schedule. I have now relocated it to the downstairs area where I didnt want to put it since I was afraid the temps at night would get too low. So far the lowest temp at night recorded on my digital hygrometer/thermometer was 57F (bottom) 60F (top) with 48% RH. During the day the highest temp/RH was 75F and 91% (bottom) 83F (top, basking). It usually is 75F w/80% (bottom) but I think it got wet today. My frustration is I cant seem to find a happy medium here since now its too humid ugh...Anyway I guess my real question is what is the max RH and minimum temp for a 3 month old ambilobe panther,just wondering should I experiment with a ceramic heat lamp before he arrives? Thanks for any input and for reading

You want the Temp to be around 80-83 F I believe is what the care sheets say and between 50-70 for humidity. During the winter months its a little harder to keep it up because of heating and what not, so If you humidity is struggling look at getting a sonic cool water humidifier. I run one a few times a day during the colder months(with the heat on in the house) this helps with the humidity. 83 for top basking is good like you had stated, and my mist schedule is a little different and I average about 45-50 before mistings and about 70-75 after mistings. I mist 6x a day but I make sure my cage is dry once the mister goes again. Also others may suggest shower curtains on the sides of the cage to maintain constant humditiy. Good luck

The cage is completely dry between each misting and I do use plastic sheeting on 3 of the 4 sides. I think I had that spike of 91% humidity because the gage got wet.

4 times a day. 5 min in the morning and 3min for the other 3 times.
