Humidity for Baby Veiled

I just received my baby veiled around 3 days ago and was wondering if his/her (haven't figured out 100%) cage has a high enough humidity. When I mist four times a day it gets up to 60 and 70 but when it starts evaporating it drops down to 40. I've read that between 40 and 60 is ok, and Chewy is eating and drinking well. Thank you guys for all the help.

Averages above 50%. And the cage completely dries out inbetween mistings so you dont grow mold. And you might want to install a slow dripper depending on the cham, some wont start drinking with just 1-2min of mistings.

I have installed a dripper that drips every 5 seconds. I have all fake plants and am going to get a real pathos umbrella, etc plant in the next week or so. I am just wondering if it will kill her in a couple weeks if it is 10 under the average for most of the day (discluding mustangs). I also just bought a cheap 6 dollar hygrometer from my local pet store so that data might not be accurate.

If its a panther/veiled you are fine. Remember hey have dry seasons and day temps that hover just over freezing at night for weeks a year. They can go to 30% easy for a few weeks in the winter.

Thank you so much for your help! I am a little bit of a noob at this.

Just talk to the people who live in the rust belt. During the winter hitting 80f and 70% humidity would cost a fortune. My guys get by just fine with 65-70f and a basking bulb, and 35-45% humidity. I just double the misting duration in winter, so i go through a 5 gallon bucket of water per cage, every 4 days.
