Humidifiers?

i need a way to raise humidity in my cage and dont have the money for a mist system so i decided to go with a humidifier. I was looking at the Vicks Vaporizer which produces steam and just the regular humidifier. which do you think would be better? also would the steam be bad for a chameleon?

Steam cools quickly in the air, so as long as you dont have the jet actually in the cage, just let the vapour waft in, it should be ok. Make sure theres no trace of vicks in it though.
Im using a tub of water with a submersible filter at the moment, below the cage.

Sounds like a cool idea, you can probably use the humidifier without the vicks ofcourse. You can try putting it on a timer, so it can come on and off a couple of times a day too if you are worried about it getting to cold or wet.

I use these in the summer over my Reef tanks when it gets too hot. You can have them come on and off a couple of times a day.

Spend $30 on a crane humidifer at Target. I use one for my quards and it works better than any of the 4 repti-foggers I have "retired", 1 gal of water runs it for about 24 hours. I do use the flex hose from the repti fogger for my crane so maybe they are some good.

PM dinky, he is the king of crane humidifers and how you can adapt them.

You wanna use ultrasonic humidifiers.... and you wanna use water without minerals... so that the hard water doesn't ruin the humidifier. using RO water is best.
