Hello. New here. My las chameleon died. I had a small cage and no ventilation. I had to upgrade and now I’m taking my time. I think I have everything I need. Just need your help to see if I’m missing anything.
Cage: reptibreeze XL, cover the siides
With window kit cover to keep humidity, left open in the front to create chininey effect.
Temp- 80
Humidity- if I mist 2 times by hand it goes to 80% then cools down to 50. At night the humidifier can keep it at 100% or 90%.
Biactvie, lots of real plans, isopods, springtails, moss and leaves,
Light- t5 long bulb, 2 LED lights.
Top branch is 8 inches from top, maybe more,

Questions, its ok to let humidity go dow to 50s during the day?
Should I ran the humidifier all night long ?

Awesome. Just at night to 100% correct? What about basking spot? How close to the top it should be?
At night get the humidity as high as you can. Generally at least 70% during the night. Basking spot should be about 85 degrees but you’ll have to see how far away from the top to put it to get that temperature.

Hey there see my feedback in red bold.

Cage: reptibreeze XL, cover the siides Make sure you have proper ventilation. because you have the front service door covered with bio active you need the screen door to be screen.
With window kit cover to keep humidity, left open in the front to create chininey effect.
Temp- 80. If temp at basking that is fine. If it is the entire cage it is too hot.
Humidity- if I mist 2 times by hand it goes to 80% then cools down to 50. At night the humidifier can keep it at 100% or 90%. 50% daytime is a bit high for a veiled..(your daytime levels are better for a Panther sitting at 50%) Looking more at 35-45% daytime for a veiled. Night time up to 100% BUT only if your temps are below 67... the lower the better with high humidity. 67 is still hotter then I prefer for adding humidity. 65 would be my minimum level if I am fogging.
Biactvie, lots of real plans, isopods, springtails, moss and leaves, Moss is an impaction risk and veileds are like toddlers everything goes in the mouth.
Light- t5 long bulb, 2 LED lights. T5 should be placed along the middle of the cage. If you are using a 5.0 or 6% bulb you want 8-9 inches from the bottom of that fixture to the closest basking branch directly below it.
Top branch is 8 inches from top, maybe more,

Should I ran the humidifier all night long ? I wouldn't you can overdo humidity as well. And you have to make sure your temps are supporting you running it at night.

Start reading through this husbandry program it will help you. https://chameleonacademy.com/chameleon-husbandry-program-getting-started-with-chameleons/

The vines you are using are dangerous with chams the coating flakes off when they rub their faces on it they can get pieces stuck in their eye. Real branches or flukers vines only.

Take the fogger off the top... That is an electrical accident waiting to happen. Get a stand if you need to get it higher and put it next to the cage or put in a shelf on the wall.
