i think my cham is dehydrated, her eyes are slightly closed , i think they are sunken but i have never saw a cham with sunken eyes. she does not like to get wet! i sometimes se her drink but not ll the time.

My panther chameleon is sometimes reluctant to drink the droplets provided by my misting. In these cases I move my dripper so the water droplets are falling on the plant leaves near her. This motion usually attracts her to drink. She may not go up and fully drink everytime but she shoots her tongue out at the water to get a little sip.

The key, I think, is the color of your chams urates. Are they white or orange?

Mine HATES being misted, scurries away every time. Even when the Mistking goes off he hides. But his urates are good and white so even though I've only ever seen him drink one time, I'm not concerned.

Solid snake said it beat when he talked about his misting. At first they don't like it but keep it up, give em a break and give em some more after the initial oh my god I'm getting wet is over.

Drippers are excellent. You can also just drop water on his nose (don't spray his face!). Use a plastic eye dropper or needless syringe (like for children's medicine) and drop, drop, drop right on his nose...he'll most likely lick it off. You get to count that as drinking.

I put my Panther in a smaller screen cage and place it in the shower with warm water running. I place the cage half way in the stream of water and half out for 10 to 15 mins and he will sit under the water and drink. He always comes out refreshed looking. I do have a water filter shower head on my shower to take out most chlorine and other bad stuff

If you're using a misting system and your chameleons don't like the spray, you could try something like this-
Provides drops more like rain, with the convenience of the misting systyem\timer setup. My chams seem to enjoy this style of watering more than the mist. I know how frustrating it is to see them run and hide from the very stuff they're supposed to be drinking by the cupful! :D
I have a panther who will thrash wildly when hit with mist, he HATES getting wet.
