Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.
Its hard for me to advise you since I only ever kept pygs in cages that were glass with screen lids and doors...18" x 18" x 24". I had a regular incandescent light in a domed hood on the top of the cage and a double fluorescent fixture with one UVB light in it and one regular fluorescent tube. I've never used heat pads.
Hopefully someone else will have a better answer for you.
