how often should they shed?

just curious, had him for 4 weeks now and has yet to shed or begin to shed. hes 5 months now.

imo, the shed the most when they're between the ages of baby and juvie, this is the time where they eat the most, are supplimented the most. have more room in their cage for climbing and activities. my veiled shed about twice in 2.5 - 3 weeks when she was about 5 months old.

I think adults often fail to do the full body shed... not they would never do it, but it seems common for them to just shed a foot here, a tail there, a head over on the other side..just sort of random. I believe that stopping that every few weeks full body blow out is a sign of getting close to "adult" in size. Adults do continue to grow, but at a way reduced rate...the babies literally grow out of their skin on a regular basis.

He's 5 months so hes still a juvi right? So I should still be seeing those "blown out sheds?" hmmm...

my panther is a little over 5 months he did his first complete shed a few weeks ago and a few days ago he did a partial shed.

this is a good question. I've had my baby veiled since mid January and she has only shed once since then...
