Hey! I found one of these today, it was the first time I had ever seen one, beautiful creature!!!

It was all beat up in the grass this morning. We had a large rainstorm last night, and Im thinking it did not take proper cover.

After a few hours in my care, it passed though. So it may have just been at the end anyhow. Im really glad I got to see it though!


I tried to feed it to my panther, but he was not very interested, and I think it kind of scared him a bit.

So it it died in peace in Donahue's indoor enclosure.

Now that I see the pictures of the caterpillars, I realize I could have collected quite a few of these guys not long ago at all! They were all over a bush in my front yard just a short time ago!

They don't live long after turning to moths. All twelve of mine are cocooning, so it wont be long before they come out fluttering around and hopefully get a colony started.
