How often do i spray water

Hi , im new to this and was windering how often i need to spray my viv and chameleon with fresh water and also is it cold or warm water , not sure how they drink , any help greatly appreciated

You want to mist the enclosure right when you turn the lights on in the morning and off at night. Room temperature water is fine, chameleons dont drink from water bowls, they drink from the water drops on plants so make sure you also have lots of foliage in there.

How often you spray & how long each time may also depend on—or be adjusted by—things like ambient temperatures and RH where you keep your chameleon, and what RH levels you need to maintain—day & night levels will likely vary.

Room temperature tap (or filtered tap) water is fine if spraying by hand (and you know what's in your tap water). If using an automated system (e.g. MistKing, CliMist, etc.) either distilled or RO water is preferred to protect the pump & nozzles from mineral buildup/damage.

Don't spray water into the chameleon's mouth...just a word of warning....it might end up in its lungs.

Spray 2 to 3 times a day more 2 unless the humidity is bad and spay for 3 minutes each
