how long do panther chams live for?

hi,

this may be 1 of those questions that has no definate answer but i was wondering how long panther chameleons live for if they are properly looked after? just an average age of course as im sure, like people, theres no age limit where they suddenly just keel over! lol.

Males 5-7, females 3-5

cool, thanks. the breeders i got mine from claim to have had some that lived 10+ years! They are known to be the best chameleon breeders in Europe hence why i paid so much for mine. £125 each at just 3 months old! worth every penny though

Many chameleons are even more expensive in Europe.

Anywho, males can even get up to 9 years (maybe more? Not possitive though,) and females 6+ assuming they have no health problems along the way.

Panther females live to about 4 years of age and the males generally live to be 5 or older. My oldest male was more than 7 years before his death.
