How long to Ambilobes generally live? I have recently heard that they may not life as long as a Veiled. How long has yours lived?

Not meaning to hijack here freind but since the topic is longevity...

How long can I expect a health cb male Veiled to live? Im hearing 5yrs

Mine hatched ~ May-June, 2005, and I've had him since late August, 2005. So - 3.5 years and counting here. Each year he gets a bit less active, particularly in the long Michigan winter. (In the summer, he always seems to "recharge" a bit when we get him outside in the sun.)

I believe Male panthers generally live 5-7 years. Females 3-5 years.
A few will live longer, some will get sick or receive inadequate care and die younger.

I have always heard male veileds can live up to 6 or 7 years old. Female veileds 3 years if they have multiply clutches and 6 years with no clutches.
I've alway heard that panthers have a shorter life span than veileds. Male panthers up to 5 years and females up to 3 years because no one has found away to keep them from producing eggs. Jann

I've never had a panther die that young, Male or female (and that includes the females that have provided the joy of baby chameleons).
