How long do adult flies survive in the fridge?

Hi - just wondering if anyone knows how long adult flies would survive if stored in the fridge - I would like to prolong the life of my feeder flies as long as possible thank you

What type of adult flies are u referring to?
Fruit fly ,house fly??

House flies - bought 6000 pupae, now have many adult flies, internet says adult house flies will live around 20 days but wondering if putting them in the fridge for a week or two would prolong their life or kill them?

Adult flies normally live for 2 to 4 weeks but can hibernate during the winter.I would say as long ur refrigerator temperature not setting too low,it will slow down their development.during that time,
The adults feed on a variety of liquid or semi-liquid substances beside solid materials which have been softened by saliva,so they can maintain in their hibernation.

Thank you - didn't know they can hibernate - I will give it a try and refresh food/liquid every 3 or 4 days and see how it goes - will let you know thanks
