CRICKETS COMMITTING SUICIDE!
I put a sponge filled with water in mine. Just make sure to clean it out often. Jim from CC taught me this.![]()
I use the water crystals
Has anyone ever used unflavored jello for a water source for crix?
Here’s two ideas for you that I use, first in a smaller bin and second if you have room for it:
First, use a cap from a plastic bottle for a base and hot glue a little circle of plastic window screen.

Makes a simple cup for water crystals they can slurp through the screen or climb all over. I re-wet it with a squirt bottle, just shoot a couple of pumps into it to rehydrate every couple of days. Water crystals hold the moisture, the water does not drip out of them through screen.

Second idea, I use these for green banana roaches and crickets, I make a tube of plastic window screen and hot glue it right through a small plastic tub, then fill the tub with water crystals. Makes a moist cool cave for them to crawl through. Best thing with these is no spills.

What does Jell-o do when you leave it out of the refrigerator for too long?,.. It would be great if this worked. But unfortunately it melts into a sticky goo.
