So the other day i fed my newly hatched baby and i saw him/her eat one or two ff's but i haven't seen him eat any...but for some reason i think he/she is eating he/she is really active I'm sure he/she eats when I'm not looking cause I'm not watching it all day...any advice?

are you saying you havent seen it eat that many yet? If it is just hatched, it may not need to eat much yet - it could be aborbing the last of its yolk still? That can be a couple days.
does it drink yet?

Wait, you have a newborn and are not watching all day? I don't think I could move from that spot! :D

how many days old is the baby? It may take a couple days. I would make sure he has ffs but that they are not crawling all over him.

It helps to look at the amount of poop instead, since they may be too shy to eat in front of you. The more poop, the more you know they are eating.

Ah dang i haven't seen any poop...well truthfully i haven't thought of looking for it but now I'm going to keep an eye out for it .it must be really small...when should i start dusting the ffs with vitamins?i have repashy calcium plus ..

I would suggest you dust about half the fruit flies all the time, using a vitamin free and phosphorous free calcium most days, and the repashy once or twice a week.

Also at least weekly offer something other than fruit flies - pin head crickets (fed and dusted), bean beetles, very small terrestrial isopods (no supplement required), very very smalll mealworms (not too many of these), baby silkworms, etc.

It's very tiny poop, but you should start to see it soon if they are eating.
I didn't supplement the first few days just because I wasn't sure they were eating yet but once I saw that they were I did begin to dust some of the food they get (pin head crickets and fruit flies) with plain calcium daily and then about once or twice a week I use the Repashy Cal+, just like Sandra recommends.

I will admit, not everyone loved the supplements. I watched one baby catch its first dusted cricket, chew it once or twice, and then spit it out lol. But they are used to it now and eat like tiny champs.
