calcium with d3 is it right ive been using it every day since i got him october 1st... he has since i got him closed his eyes sometimes during the day while most f the time there open unless he gets scared like when i walk with him on my hand. ive never seen him drink altho only once has the urate looked a little yellow. just got him his adult home finished building and im just wanting to make sure yall think im on the right track and if im not i wanna make the right changes, i made my first onling cricket and meal order so im goig to really start gutloading is the jar stuff from petsmart ok to use the cricket food and water. i had been using this stuff that was a mixture with a fairly high survival rate. hes not ate today at all i figure stressed over the move or because am trieng a cup today alto i let 2 out just so see if hed go after them. because he has been eating whatever i give him altho i usually go about a dozen to 15 not really sure exactly how many he should get. oh yea got a multi vit gave it to him 2 times last month the 1st and 15 just gave him the first one for this month yesterday. lights im going to get the 5.0 long tube thing tomorrow but been under a reptile light that the petstore recomended. im trying my hardest to fix there recomends as iv been able to afford them and get down there. oh did i mention hes around 3 months?

You don't need D3 every day.

I haven't used the gutload you mention. Things that are good to use are fresh veggies and fruits, cricket crack, repashy bug burger.

going to get the kind with out the d3 i looked last night and seen apperently it isnt right, does everything else sound good? he still didnt eat any crickets i think the cups scary to him im going to make a plastic milk jugs feeder in a little while and try that he had meals just fine today he doesnt really seem to interested in looking all about
disappointing since i got him all plants he should like and lots of branckes and vines to explore through
but also hes his rubbing head on the branch like hes a little itchy to so may be time for a new shed?

most likely if the pet store you sold you the lighting it is wrong. They are chronic for doing that it seems. He is probably closing his eyes cause of the lightinig. Change to the Reptisun tube and see if that does not help. If not, it could be a vitamin issue or something else. What are you using for basking bulb and what are your temps?

ok so traded his light today for an 18 inch 5.0 reptile light, im wandering if i should stop dusting his crickets all together till i can get an online order going because of course no store in a 60 mile radius has the calcium without d3? i havent had a basking light on him now that ive changed his bulb do i still need one? i do need to get a thermometer altho i guarentee its never lower then 70. ive beeen doing this as i could afford it unfortunatly his cage set me so far back but its really nice and full of foliage ive made makeshift rain system that drips for well over 5 minutes and am continuing to spray 3 or 4 times a day, do wish i could see him drink tho oh hey another thing how am i supposed to find his poop with all those plants? its so tiny as it is...

you can buy it on line. while waiting for it to arrive, buy a birds cuttle bone put it in food processor or blender = Calcium no D3

i have a 50 watt day time regular bulb that came with the terrarium when i got him also a night light i was told they wernt what i need is the dytime light a basking bulb cause i can use that if it is... i just read a forum saying he shouldnt need one till 4 months or older which is soon ill admit but possibly i can wait till like say next week?

If your 50 watt regular bulb gives the temps needed you are good. You do not need a special Basking bulb. Most of us just use the common household bulb. At least after the basking one burns out from the pet store where we were told MUST HAVE!!

The night light- not a good thing they need darkness to sleep like we do.

If you need heat meaning at night it goes below 60 get a ceramic heater- has no light

Keep up the great job in getting your Cham all the proper information and supplies :)

How are his eyes doing since you changed that light?

actually now that u mention it i haven't noticed them closed but once and its cause i was making it rain, didnt thin it be that immediat didnt know it was hurting him so bad curse u petsmart! i put a 40 watt house light up there in the corner beside the other light and put the temp/ humidity thing (which looks cheap and prolly is going to replace it soon enough) hanging off the screen bout 4 or 5 inches from the top but still above where he can reach says 77 ish and around 70percent humidity

ordered my calcium w/o d3 and some bug burger, how is it anyone got experience? i had kale potted at the bottom of the cage so i tossed that to them, figure whats fresher then strait from the source nothings mentioned bannanas are they ok i got some that are yellow ayways i ca toss that down there, i put a 40 watt up there earlier thik i should keep it im staying at 80 under the light, hey also thik its goig to help his humidity keepig him in my bed room that is where the laundry area is figured hotter and steamier.... he educated me earlier by coming to me for the first time its all about the meal worms apperently oh hey and he eats a ton is that ok can he over eat?
