Horsehair worms?

Hello, I recently emptied the water tray from my male panthers tank, and noticed about 4 or 5 long skinny worms alive and moving in the water. They were about 2 inches long, super skinny and a grayish color. I THINK they are horsehair worms, but I'm not sure. I only think that's what they are because infested bugs drown themselves and then the worms crawl out of their body, and I found them in the water. Does anyone know if these are harmful to chameleons? I obviously don't want to feed infected feeders, but since he probably ate some already, I need to know if it's bad. I read they are only parasitic to bugs, but who knows.

Didn't get a picture but here's what they looked like: http://citybugs.tamu.edu/files/2010/07/horsehair-worm.jpg

Don't know what your worms are just from a description. I've had recently imported lizards poop out some really big worms after being treated with worming medicine. If the worms in the water were there after being pooped out by your lizard, that's not good, that's for sure.

Either way, most worms of this type can be easily and very safely treated with fenbendazole.
