Horns and Lichen Under the Sun

Heyyyyyy, his horns are longer than M001's. Are that male's horns particularly well-developed? From the photos M001 actually seems larger to me, but his horns are about half that length. The juvie that I raised years ago was about that size(when purchased), too, and had much shorter horns than his also. He looks fantastic, especially with how straight they're growing.

You're right, M001 was one of the biggest in the clutch, but his horns were only a bit smaller compared to this one. It seems as though they're beginning to grow at a much faster rate now. I have only one more male left apart from this one, and his horns as more the size of what you describe for M001.

Thanks, all.

Beautiful shots, Fabián! Looks like it took him a minute to figure out what is going on LOL!!! Mine know the camera is coming before I even enter the room.

They're becoming more and more shy as they grow. I rarely enter the chameleon room, except for necessities, so they get plenty of privacy. The 50mm lens appears to be the biggest catalyst, with its scary lens hood. It must look like a big predator's eye! Their defensive behavior is truly something to watch-- they practically disappear in their cages. No exaggeration!

Amazing pics, Fabián ! Keep posting ! :) (I'll make some more pics of my merus later)

Yes, please.

You can flood us with as many pictures as you want but we will never have enough.
Great chameleons and great photos, man :D

Thanks for the note, Alzbeta. Today's last.

Those are great! What I really enjoy about my guys is the color of their eye. It seems so intense. That and their yellow streaking.

Their eyes remind me of those of elephants-- they're so expressive.

Glad to know yours are doing well.

Fabian,

Those pictures get me every time. The shallow depth of field really makes for a dramatic image. Especially the last shot of the 1.1 on the Phalaenopsis. Stunning!

Thank you for the note, Luis. They are, indeed, stunning creatures-- as you know first hand. We'll be in touch soon.

Cheers,
