Home made 3d rock backgrounds ..any good links on how to`s?

I do a hybrid of these 2. I make the rock wall out of 2 (if you want thick) 2-3" peices of pink foam board. Then router or carve out the rock shapes and sand down the edges (again i use a round over bit). Then i follow the burlap strips and either use grout or some other stucko type, then coat it in several coats of matte water clean up polyuratane to water proof it. If you want diff colored rocks you paint after stuco and before water proofing.
