Hoe long until they come out?

Those three still haven't made their way all the way out. I am expecting to have 16 more including the ones that have started to make their way out.

It can sometimes take a day of sitting in the egg... but coming out and not moving, I am unsure. They will hang out for a bit in the egg while they digest the embryonic sack.

Just keep an eye out, good luck!

Well it is only the tip of their snouts that are out of the egg. I am not too worried about it. Its not like they are half way out or anything.

Ive had them sit in the egg with just the nose out for more than a day+. Also it probably takes a lot for them to do the whole process so just chilling for a little bit after comming out is probably them just gathering there marbles. Some will sit in the egg longer than others. I bet they all hatch out nice and healthy for you;)

Well I hope that is true. The first little one is doing very well so far and he is wandering all over his cage. He drinks really well. I have not actually seen him eat yet but he prowls around his cage like his is hunting so hopefully he is snatching stuff up when he roams around.

Three now out and climbing around like maniacs. The first one finally started eating. More eggs are sweating. We are well on our way to a great hatch rate.

Pics on the way!!!

Their siblings are stressing me out with how long they are staying in the egg after it is split on the one end. Is it possible that some eggs are too calcified for them to push through? I am freaking out a little bit right now.

If they could break a hole through the egg in the first place then the calcification level of the egg should have nothing to do with them getting out IMHO. Some of them take longer to get out of the egg than others.

How often are you looking in the container and how long do you leave the lid off??

Now that they are hatching we take the lid off every couple hours but only on one side to see whats going on. I would guess three seconds to take a good peek. We now have two more that have hatched from those split eggs so mother nature works even inside a tub. I am a lot less stressed out now.

The count is up to eight healthy babies. A ninth is working his way out and four more sweating. More pictures to come.

Try not to have the lid off very often or for very long. You will be decreasing the humidity inside and the oxygen levels will be increased.
