Hoe long until they come out?

I have my ambanja eggs that have been uncubating for almost eleven months. None of them started sweating but one cracked open today. How long can it take for a baby to make its way out of the egg? Do they normally come out right away or do they sometimes sit there and wait awhile?

yeah I have. They are growing inside there. I can see the little boy/girls snout inside the egg

I'm no panther expert (yet!) but 11 months seems to be a while for eggs.. Best to wait for a senior member with more experience. Sorry! But I think it could take a while for them to come out. :p

11 months is fine for eggs that are kept at one steady lowish temp throughout incubation. Leave the eggs alone and remove the babies once they are fully out of the eggs. They will sit in the eggs for a while before emerging- this is totally normal and they are absorbing the rest of their yolk sac. You will have some babies running around soon :D

Well I appreciate you taking the time. He is working his way out and just laying there with his eyes closed. I can see him breathing though. I just want him to get all the way out and start moving around.

Don't move them yourself! This is the way they adapt etc. If you take him out yourself, who is to say he learns to walk?

Oh I will not be touching him. I know that would be a bad move. I will keep you posted. I am trying to upload a picture right now.

Sorry it is black and white i had my camera set to that for the macro and that is the best way to get a good picture

He/She is now out and roaming around the cage. It's only 5 a.m. here and I have not gotten much sleep. Lots of movement. Tiniest thing I have ever seen. It hatched from one of my smaller eggs. I definitely have more on the way.

you forgot to put the parentheses in the first IMG.

Congratz!!!! How long have they been "Cooking"

It has been almost eleven months. I kept the eggs at 70 degrees the whole time in my closet so I think that is what took a little longer than normal. Only one has hatched so far because I spaced out my eggs. I have seventeen to go, with some really big eggs still to hatch. The first was one of my smaller eggs strangely enough.

3 more working their way out

I just checked my CH ambanja eggs and three more are hatching right now. I should have three wandering around when I wake up in the morning. I will make sure that I get some pictures up tomorrow
