Hello everyone.
Im from the Stevens Point area of Wisconsin (right in the middle of the state).
I am a near graduated college student getting a degree in biology with an emphasis on fish.
I work to run the universities live fish collection, I am the field collection manager, and I do work for the DNR in the form of fish surveys through UWSP.
I have been a biologist my whole life, and love animals.
I recently started building vivaria - and I have always wanted a chameleon.
I fell in love with the cape dwarf chameleon - and read several encouraging articles online about their care, saying things like "Very hardy" "Easy to breed" "Being bred in the US" - and now that seems to all be false.
I dont like the looks of pygmy chameleons - but might be swayed. Im trying to get an idea of a small chameleon that I might be able to build a small viv for.
Any suggestions for a beginner? I will also most likely be going to the reptile show in Tinley Park IL this coming fall - might I be able to pick up the aforementioned appropriate chameleon then?
Hopefully we can get the ball rolling and I can construct a viv appropriate for a small chameleon.
Thanks
