Finally, after a few close calls, my K.Uthmoelleri finally arrived today, in one piece. Brad helped out a lot with this guy when he got re-routed to Colorado. So after a weekend with Brad, he is now exploring his new home and waiting for me to throw in another cricket:D. So far he scarfed down a cricket and a roach, and drank thirstily ( Hes doing good Jared, I know we've been playing phone tag ) I dont want to stress him out now so I am holding off on the pictures, not to mention I like torturing you guys:p.

I bet your excited, Congrats!!!!!!! My High yellow Veileds from Jared showed up yesterday and they are stunning as well.

Jeesh, sounds like the lil` guy has been to Hades and back! Glad you got him and he is doing well. What an adventure. He must have been in primo shape when he started and had the luck of good strangers hosting him on the journey. Glad it all turned out.:)

wow, he looks interesting, what's K.Uthmoelleri? (common name?)

I dont know the common name, I believe it is Mueller's Leaf Chameleon or something like that. A google search of Kinyongia Uthmoelleri will bring up more results than using the common name.

As I mentioned to Jared last week ... this is a wonderful example of why I love having the forums.
It creates a global community of chameleon keepers and when things like this happen (which, thankfully, is next to never) you have friends around the world who can help out.
I was more than happy to assist with this situation and really enjoyed getting to have this animal around for a short while.
So glad he made it home safely .. I am always nervous when I pack up and send off animals.

It was quite the trip from "Hades" for the little guy, (giving me the idea for his name), and if I was in the situation that Brad was in I dont think it would be easy for me to give up the chameleon:rolleyes:. After a long stressful day of traveling across the country in a paper bag theres nothing like curling up and having a good nights sleep under a schefflera leaf:).

Thanks again Brad for saving this guys life, he wouldn't have lasted another day in that box in CO.

Glad he made it finally!!! What a trip for that guy. I cant thank Brad enough for his help. I am always nervous shipping too but obviously you did a fine job:D

I am sure you will do well with him, Danny. You have a good concept on keeping chams and he is a very nice healthy specimen. Keep us posted!!!

Tom, glad you liked what was in your box too:D
